This delicate, asymmetrical necklace incorporates a bramble from a Carolina Rose into the cleverly balanced chain. The recycled sterling silver chain carefully balances a section of 1.1 mm cable with 1.5 mm cable to help keep the bramble falling at just the right, perfectly-off-center, spot. Rosa carolina

The carolina rose, also known as prairie rose and pasture rose, is native to North America and grows throughout the continental United States in dry prairies, open woods and thickets. It is now often cultivated. It blooms with fragrant, light pink flowers in May and June that bees love. Later in the summer it yields edible rose hips.
